Yellow Standard DCP Tender Vehicle
The Yellow Standard DCP (Dry Chemical Powder) Tender Vehicle is a specialized firefighting unit meant for a high-level rate of suppression of flammable liquid and gas fires, specifically for industrial, chemical, and petroleum environments. Powered on a 16-ton GVW (Tata LPT 1613, 1615, or AL Comet Gold 1616) chassis, the tender has a DCP-type cylindrical vessel whose capacity is 2000kg (2 x 1000 kg). The DCP system consists of 6–8 x 50-liter nitrogen cylinders that guarantee strong discharge from a DCP monitor with a variable output of 15–40 kg/s and 2 x 30m hose reels with trigger pistols for accurate fire suppression.
The tender can be optionally fitted with a water tank and pump, which allows for additional adaptability in multi-agent firefighting situations. Mounting gadget accessories that require power includes a light mast for night operations, which is powered by a 5kVA generator. There are 4–6 CO₂ extinguishers for the additional fire suppression purposes, which have a mass of 22.5 kg each. Under the IS:10993 norms, the body and lockers are made of MS/AL/SS, having rugged AI rolling shutters or door-type enclosures for reliability and emergency ease.
